Folkestone caught me off guard …

This seaside town has proper personality. I can’t rave enough about the posh fish and chips at Rock Salt — fancy, yes, but absolutely lip-smacking delicious, especially with that incredible view to match. Thank goodness they squeezed us in last minute!

Taken in by street art that popped up everywhere (and where you least expected it?!)—stunning and vibrant.

Colourful independent shops serve up the best coffee and homemade cakes, giving the whole place that artsy, on-trend feel — like Shoreditch by the sea (Margate, you might have to take a back seat on this one — sorry, not sorry lol).

Sipping bubbly on the Folkestone Harbour Arm, soaking up the sea breeze and all that feel-good energy.

Add in a cozy, unspoiled sandy beach — overlooked by the Folkestone Mermaid (yes, with legs and not a tail!) — a charming little harbour, and an endlessly stunning sunset … Folkestone is a vibe I know I’ll want to come back to!
