GÜMÜŞLÜK

Gümüşlük near Bodrum –  one of THE most beautiful places I have ever been to. And I mean EVER. This tiny fishing village hasn't been devoured by tourism yet, thank goodness.

The restaurants literally kiss the sea – tables where waves lap beneath your feet while you sip away with your legs dangling in crystal-clear water, boats resting peacefully on the twinkling sea. The decorations are so whimsically pretty, like someone with an eye for magic has scattered treasures along the shoreline.

Mountains rise dramatically behind you while the Aegean stretches endlessly ahead, and somehow cows are grazing precariously close to cliff edges – these fearless creatures casually munching grass with the sea sprawling hundreds of feet below them.

The fish couldn't be fresher – straight from boat to plate, grilled simply because when something's this perfect, you don't mess with it.

If picture-perfect had a postcode, it’d be Gümüşlük — so, soo perfect it almost feels made-up!!
