DUBAI

Dubai. Some people love it. Others roll their eyes. Me? I’m fully, shamelessly obsessed.

This was Oliver’s first time — and yep, he was definitely skeptical. The kind of “Isn’t it just malls and heat?” energy.

But I’ve done Christmases, New Years, and more than a few long, scorching summers here… and the moment we landed, I knew he’d be hooked. Spoiler alert: I was right — again, obviously!!

The skyline? It’s as if an architect was handed a sci-fi script and told, “Go wild.”

Twisting towers, mirror-glass facades, and buildings that defy logic — somehow, it all comes together beautifully.

And the malls… oh, don’t even get me started. You can literally ski without ever stepping outside!

Who even needs to leave the mall — let alone the country? Little bits of the entire world are packed into one ridiculously over-the-top, glossy package — in the best way possible, of course!

And then… the beach clubs 🏖️🎶. Champagne in the sun, toes in the sand, a DJ spinning tracks that make you forget what day it is… It’s unapologetically opulent, utterly glamorous, and ridiculously fun — and we loved every second of it!!

And, one of the best parts? Catching up with friends who now live and work in Dubai — hearing their stories and seeing the city through their eyes.

Dubai, you’ve still got my heart — and probably half my savings. Every time I visit, I swear it’s my last… and every time, I fall in love all over again.

P.S. From the most delish biryani that we had four times over because it was that good, to dosas galore, we ate like royalty. Every meal was a feast — heaven for foodies with spice in their soul!
