TENERIFE
We stayed at one of my absolute favourite resorts of all time — and that’s saying something.
Usually, I’m all about the sea view, but this place? It was out-of-this-world special.
Royal Garden Villas in Costa Adeje in Tenerife with its sub-tropical gardens - private, peaceful, and impossibly calming, with insane food, dreamy accommodation, and service that made us feel like royalty. I’d return in a heartbeat — no questions asked.
And with 24-hour access to the spa (I may or may not have considered moving in permanently, lol) — we melted into the hydrotherapy pool, floated between saunas and steam rooms… simply sublime and so heavenly, I nearly forgot my own name. If they’d offered me a robe and residency, I’d have signed on the spot!!
The best part? It was perched just above La Caleta, that sleepy little fishing village that completely stole our hearts.
Think barefoot locals, seafood that practically swam to your plate, and sunsets that set the whole place aglow.
And I have to say… when you tell people you’re off to Tenerife, you sometimes get those looks — the “oh, party island?” reactions.
But OUR Tenerife couldn’t have been more different. The moment we arrived, we were speechless.
Calm, elevated, stunning — nothing like the stereotypes.
You know those classic holiday scenes — people scurrying around at sunrise, stealthily throwing towels over pool loungers like it’s some Olympic sport? You can practically hear the Mission: Impossible theme playing in the background.
Yeah… this wasn’t that!!
Note to self don’t believe everything you hear — or everything you scroll past on social media. The best places are often misunderstood… until you see them for yourself.
