BUCKINGHAM PALACE

By invitation of Her Royal Highness (okay, okay… I may have booked it online), I found myself strolling through the private gardens of none other than Buckingham Palace. Yes — the gardens … behind the gates! And no, before you ask, I did not jump the fence.

Every summer, the royals throw open the garden doors (figuratively), and for a few glorious weeks, us mere mortals are allowed a peek into their perfectly pruned paradise. It’s very English, very regal, and … surprisingly peaceful. You’d never guess you’re in the middle of one of the world’s busiest capitals?!

Sweeping lawns, wildflower meadows, secret paths, and an oh-so picture-perfect lake … bien sûr — I made the most of it — picnic on the grass, leisurely walk, selfies galore, and a whole lot of pretending I live there.

A thoroughly royal day out. 10/10 would curtsy again.
